History: How Dele Momodu Disguised through seme border like a Farmer, inorder To Escape Arrest in 1995
Born, Ayòbámidélé Àbáyòmí Ojútelégàn Àjàní Momodu on May 16, 1960, is a graduate of the then University of Ife, now Obafemi Awolo University, Ile-Ife, in 1982, he bagged Bachelor degree in Yoruba. He proceeded to bag an Msc degree in English Literature in 1988.
Dele Momodu Momodu is the Publisher of Ovation International, a magazine that he used to give publicity to people within and outside the shores of Nigeria.
After he resigned from, The Guardian and Sunday Tribune, in 1993, Dele Momodu, joined the late Chief Moshood Abiola Presidential Campaign Organization in his quest to see the victory of MKO.
His trial started when he was arrested by the government of former Military President, General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida, IBB, after the annulment of June 12, Presidential elections and detained at the popular Alagbon Close in Lagos State.
His biography showed that despite the severe punishment for his pro-democratic view, Dele Momodu, he was undeterred. He was to be arrested again in 1995, by the administration of late Military dictator, General Sani Abacha, and charged for treason because of his role in Radio Freedom which was later renamed Radio Kudirat after the murder of Kudirat Abiola.
The Veteran Journalist managed to escape from Nigeria after he disguised as a farmer and followed through Seme border to Cotonou, Benin Republic, then Togo, and Ghana. He subsequently traveled to the United Kingdom where he spent three years in exile.
Dele Momodu is happily married to Mobolaji Abiodun Momodu, on December 19, 1992, and there is marriage is blessed with four children.
In the course of his work, he had met the likes of Bill Clinton, the former President of United States of America.
